Host to the 1994 Winter Olympics the resorts of Lillehammer and Hafjell enjoy a snow record that ensures a lengthy ski season from the middle of November to the end of April. Lillehammer, considered Norway's oldest winter sports resort, provides you with a combination of longstanding traditions and the modern activities required by the people of today. The main ski area is in Hafjell where many of the Olympic events took place. You can test yourself on the downhill course and there is a great range of runs for both beginners and intermediates. Lillehammer is excellent for families and beginners with plenty of activities for non-skiers.
